Anime at Present

By Mazzola

In many countries, the interest in anime has been steadily increasing for some years but is still extremely limited compared to the general population. It has been particularly anime and manga aimed at children who have had success in some countries, and many therefore associate anime with cartoons aimed at children. Especially series with anime characters such as Pokemon, Dragonball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh and Naruto have all been shown on television has helped to strengthen not only the knowledge of Japanese animation, but also the image of the young audience. However, one can feel in the environment that even the slightly older age groups are getting interested in Japanese animation.

This has particularly been seen by the increasing number of exhibitions in some countries where anime impressions included.  Anime has some genres, among which are the most common genres of film: action, adventure, comedy, fantasy, horror, romance and science fiction. Very animated features elements from more than one genre. This can make it hard to categorize a specific anime. Although the plot seems very simple, this can have an underlying, deeper and more complex action and character development. It’s also not uncommon that a strong action-anime also contains comedy, romance and even sharp social commentary. Many, especially the older fans often watch anime anywhere, such as anime dvd, other than on TV.
